OER-Barcamp Austria
OER-Barcamp Austria 9./10. April 2026 in Vienna
Under the motto #reOPEN – Open Education as a permanent call to action, the Austrian OER community met on the 9th and 10th of April 2026 at the University of Vienna. Lecturers, OER practitioners, staff from support services, libraries, IT services and higher education pedagogy, as well as representatives from projects and networks, came together to exchange experiences, develop new ideas and shape the future of open education together.
The focus was on current developments relating to Open Educational Resources (OER), open education, MOOCs and open educational practices. Through Barcamp sessions, workshops and collaborative exchange formats, opportunities arose for discussion, networking and the joint further development of services, projects and infrastructure within the Austrian higher education sector.
The OER Barcamp Austria thus continues the long-standing tradition of the Austrian OER community and provides a central platform for exchange, collaboration and innovation in the field of open education.
